Preemptive Tactics Consulting and Training
Offering in the field training in self-defense, defensive tactics and strategies to individuals, groups, businesses, agencies, and organizations at a VERY economically, attractive cost to each client! These programs are available to perspective clients in both New Brunswick & Maine (I have dual citizenship for the U.S. & Canada).
The programs offered are generally a 4 Hour Block Program. These different Blocks are tailored to fit a client's specific needs, and addresses the common issues/conflicts to that client. Longer Blocks or multiple Blocks of training can also be put together if required/needed by a client. The program that is set up can be done on sight at the location if space allows. The fee is based on the number of participants attending: Minimum 10 / ONLY$20 per participant, less than that a flat fee is required. If the number of participants will be a large number, than a discount can be worked out. However, for a large number of students, it may be better to break the number up into smaller groups with multiple classes to maintain quality of instruction and service. If an off sight location is required, it is the client that will cover the rental for that location. Being based out of St Stephen, NB, travel away (50 km/30 mi or more) a fair travel cost (gas) would be additionally applied. I have kept my prices to reflect me, in that I know I am not an international celebrity, nor did I work for the U.S. Secret Service (Tho one of my teachers taught the U.S. Secret Service), I do have many years in the martial arts, a law enforcement background, and a background in institutional security. So, I believe I have something of value, and economical, to offer clients.

If you breakdown the numbers above, you'll find that I am very cost effective! It's the goal to try and help clients find a way to get this information and training! In doing so, with the costs down, it would allow for follow up sessions to help keep updated, and material usable. Like anything else similar to this, it is a perishable skill> Don't use it, ya lose it.

40 yrs of martial arts training (Began studies in Oct 1978). High level black belt ranks in multiple systems. Presently, I am now a full time martial arts instructor in four (4) locations: St Stephen, St Andrews, St George, NB & Calais, ME. I have over one hundred students with a staff of assistant instructors of twenty. I keep a hands on approach to my operations. That applies to student instruction, structuring classes, coordinating/directing my staff, and working/dealing with people > both with students and parents. Upon retiring from radio in December 2012, I became a full time professional instructor of martial arts. I have 30+ yrs of teaching experience in the martial arts. I am the President/Founder of The Shurikan Dojos Association, and internationally; I am a member of the Senior International Council for American Karate International (AKI)
and also the Canadian Director for the AKI. My highest rank is that of an 8th Degree Black Belt in Shorin Kenpo Karate.

11 yrs experience in Maine Municipal Law Enforcement. I am able to pass a criminal background check. I have Duel Citizenship for the United States & Canada.

Functioned as an assistant to Mr. (Sensei) Ken McDonald from 1982 -83. Mr. McDonald (a retired British military officer, Korean War Vet, and martial artist), he offered seminars in Institutional and Executive Security for venues and for high profile individuals (Impact Associates). I was his assistant when he came to New Brunswick, he was based out of Toronto, Ontario. It was through his training that I received, which allowed me to put into motion, my coordinating the security for the Lee Aaron concert (1991) in St Stephen.

Through my Manager and Director positions in radio I dealt with staff, scheduling, all aspects of operations. I also worked with venues (some local), media, national promoters and agents (Hal Joe Productions, Donald K Donald, and Bronsen Entertainment) on concerts: Glass Tiger (1989 & 90) & Lee Aaron (1991) in St Stephen, NB, Cheap Trick (1990) & Joan Jett (1991) in Baileyville, ME, Kiss/Winger/Slaughter (1990) at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, ME, and the WWE (1992) at the Bangor Auditorium. Regarding the Lee Aaron concert at the Border Arena, St Stephen, I was involved in all aspects of the event, including being in charge and coordinating her security contingency.
Served, since 2003, in the full capacity of a (reserve) uniformed police officer full and part time for the Pleasant Point & part time for Calais Police Departments (Both in Maine, USA). I started out as a full time police officer with PPPD, but upon returning to radio, transitioned to a part time, reserve role.
