Hanshisei Shane Higashi, 10th Dan, Chito Ryu Karate Canada. "Second only to my late father, Hanshi Higashi was in my early years of karate, a mentor to me. To this day, I see his influence on me." - Hanshi C

Conley receivng his very first black belt (1st Dan) rank from the Late Supreme Master Tsuyoshi Chitosé, 10th Dan/Hanshisei, Sept 1982 in St John, NB.

Shihan John Hauhn (no pic available), then (1980's) 6th Dan/Renshi. Introduced Conley to Isshin Ryu and White Crane Kenpo Karate.

Shihan Ray Brown (no pic available), 5th Dan Aikido & Sifu Yang Style Taijiquan. Conley was under his exemplary tutelage in the 1980's.

Late Founder/Senior Grand Master Ed Parker (pictured above) of American Kenpo Karate. Shihan Conley did not have direct training from Master Parker, but his system and views have deeply influenced Shihan Conley, including on Conley's White Crane Kenpo. Hanshi Conley received additional influence from a Parker Black Belt, Master John La Tourette (pictured below), from his various seminars in the 1980's.

Hanshi Conley is presently a member of the International Senior Council of the American Karate International organization, and the Canadian Director for Hanshisei Cogliandro's American Karate International organization. Hanshisei Cogliandro was a 1st Generation student, friend & confidant to the Late Founder/Senior Grand Master Ed Parker.
